Description: Dataset representing the tax district boundaries in Utah County. The districts represent areas in the county with similar property tax rates. Each tax district polygon is created by combining various tax units. A geoprocessing model was created which intersects all the tax unit boundaries for a tax district. Areas of Tax Units which were not part of that district were then erased from the district. All tax districts were then appended into this dataset.The Tax Unit boundaries used to create this dataset are entered into GIS using COGO from the original legal description. Gaps in the data are areas with discrepancies. The data is updated whenever a change to tax unit boundary occurs including for city annexations, district annexations and withdrawals.
